Welcome to Waves of Andaman. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website (wavesofandaman.com) and any travel packages, tours, or services booked through us. By booking with Waves of Andaman, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Us
Waves of Andaman is a travel company offering honeymoon, family, group, and corporate travel packages to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Our head office is in Port Blair, South Andaman, with a branch office in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
2. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is confirmed only after receipt of the applicable advance payment and written confirmation (email/WhatsApp) from Waves of Andaman. Advance payment does not guarantee a booking, all bookings are subject to confirmation by hotels, ferry operators, and other service providers. If a booking cannot be confirmed, the advance will be fully refunded within 15 working days. Package prices are subject to change until full payment is received, due to fluctuations in hotel, ferry, and flight rates. It is the traveler's responsibility to provide accurate personal details (names as per ID, contact information, travel dates) at the time of booking. We are not liable for losses arising from inaccurate information provided by the traveler.
3. Payment Terms
A minimum advance of 50% of the total package cost is required to confirm a booking. For bookings made within 14 days of travel, full payment is required upfront. The balance amount is due before departure, or on arrival in Port Blair, whichever is agreed at the time of booking. Government issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License) for all travelers is required to finalize bookings, as these are mandatory for ferry tickets and forest permits. Payments can be made via bank transfer, UPI, or payment link (cheques are not accepted).
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations must be requested in writing (email or WhatsApp). Charges apply based on when we receive written notice, relative to your travel date.
- 30 or more days before travel: full refund of advance, minus a cancellation or administrative fee of Rs. 2,500 per person.
- 15 to 29 days before travel: 50% of advance refunded.
- Less than 15 days before travel: no refund.
Bookings for travel between 15th December and 15th January (peak season) are non-refundable and non-reschedulable regardless of the above slabs, due to high demand for hotels, ferries, and tour arrangements during this period.
Refunds, where applicable, are processed within 15 to 21 business days via the original mode of payment. Please note, flight tickets, once booked, are non-refundable, this follows the airline's own policy, and Waves of Andaman is not liable for delays, cancellations, or rescheduling by the airline. Ferry tickets follow the respective ferry operator's cancellation policy (typically a small fee for cancellations 48 or more hours before sailing, 50% charge within 24 to 48 hours, and no refund within 24 hours of departure). No refund is provided for unused nights, early checkout, or no shows.
5. Changes to Itinerary
Waves of Andaman reserves the right to modify itineraries due to weather conditions, ferry or flight schedule changes, government restrictions, or circumstances beyond our control (force majeure), while making reasonable efforts to provide equivalent alternatives. If a ferry or activity is cancelled due to weather, we will arrange the best available alternative, where no alternative is possible, refund eligibility follows this policy. Any traveler requested changes to a confirmed booking are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
6. Traveler Responsibilities
Travelers must carry a valid government issued photo ID for domestic travel, required for hotel check ins, ferry bookings, and forest permits. Foreign nationals must independently arrange the Restricted Area Permit (RAP), issued on arrival at Port Blair, in addition to a valid passport and Indian visa. Travelers are responsible for their own conduct, health precautions, and adherence to safety instructions during activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, and water sports. Comprehensive travel and health insurance is recommended.
7. Limitation of Liability
Waves of Andaman acts as a facilitator, coordinating with third party hotels, ferry operators, activity providers, and transport services. We are not liable for delays, cancellations, accidents, loss of belongings, or service failures caused directly by these third parties, though we will make reasonable efforts to assist travelers in resolving such issues. We are not liable for losses arising from natural events, government orders, strikes, flight or ferry delays, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Waves of Andaman is not responsible for personal belongings left at hotels, ferries, or vehicles.
8. Health & Safety
Travelers participating in adventure or water activities (scuba diving, sea walking, snorkeling, jet skiing, etc.) do so at their own risk and must disclose any relevant medical conditions to the activity operator in advance.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on wavesofandaman.com, including text, images, and logos, is the property of Waves of Andaman unless otherwise credited, and may not be reproduced without written permission.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
